- The DGM MEGAFOLD 1450-C is a high-speed, fully automatic folder-gluer developed for medium- and large-format industrial packaging production lines.
- The “C” designation in the model name indicates that the machine is manufactured without a pre-folding unit.
- It is the most basic and streamlined configuration in the series; since it does not include pre-folding or crash-lock bottom mechanisms, it is specifically optimized solely for high-speed folding and gluing of standard straight-line boxes.
- As it has no additional stations for functions such as pre-folding or crash-lock bottoms, it is the model in the 1450 series with the most compact frame and shortest overall machine length.
- Because it contains fewer mechanical units and frame components than the other configurations, it has the lowest total machine weight and required electrical connected load (kW) in the series.
- Its maximum open-blank processing width is 1450 mm, the standard upper limit for the series.
- Depending on the packaging design, the minimum open-blank width it can process can be as low as 290–300 mm.
- It is capable of reaching a maximum production speed of 300 meters per minute.
- The inching (jog) speed used during setup, tooling adjustments, and initial sample runs is 20 meters per minute.
- It can process very thick paperboard packaging materials weighing up to 1200 g/m² steadily without buckling.
- It folds E-, C-, B-, and AB-flute corrugated board sheets (3- and 5-ply), ranging from microflute to double-wall corrugated board, without difficulty.
- The total caliper of the finished folded boxes delivered from the delivery belt (press section) can be up to 20 mm.
